I WANNA BE BEHIND THE SCENES!!

You do, do you? Then you've found the right page. Auditions for behind the scenes are being cast right now.  To work behind the scenes, here's what we're looking for.

WRITER: We're looking for someone to write screenplays for the show.  Screenplays are scripts that the actors read.  We need someone who's a good writer, and if possible, has experience with writing scripts of any kind.  To apply to be a writer for the show, go here.

DIRECTOR:  We're looking here for someone who is three things: a good leader, knowledgeable about movies, and knows a thing or two about making one.  I'll tell you right off the bat that being a good leader is the most important one.  If you don't fit that, you should keep scrolling down.  If you aren't knowledgeable about movies or don't know anything about making one, you should do some research.  Read some books about how to make a movie, such as Filmmaking for Teens by Troy Lanier and Clay Nichols.  To apply to be a director, you will have to go to the auditions, answer some questions, and fill out some forms.  Go here for more info.

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER: This is one of those jobs where you have to be a fantastic peer mediator.  Bonus points if you are one at school.  The associate producer helps out with casting, finding places to shoot, getting props and costumes, and solving problems on the set.  To be an associate producer, we need you to be organized, be good at resolving conflicts, be a problem solver, have lots of energy, and have a positive outlook.  More bonus points if you're great at math and science.  To apply, go here.

STUNT COORDINATOR:  This is one of two jobs where you must be 18 or over to apply for this job.  Unless, of course, you know a thing or two about organizing fight sequences.  Yes, whenever the Adventure City kids are in a tussle, it's up to the stunt coordinator to choreograph the whole thing.  To apply for this position, go here.


SOUND ENGINEER:  This is one very important job.  It is the sound engineer's job to work with the camera operator (read on) to get the best sound possible.  You must untangle and make sure all the wires and equipment are connected.  To be the sound engineer, you should be precise, someone who likes puzzles, and knows a thing or two about sound.  If you don't know anything about sound, you should be a good researcher who can learn about sound.  If you're interested in that job, go here.

CAMERA OPERATOR:  Ah, yes.  A vitally important job.  You help us choose the camera and frames the shot under the director's advice.  You should be good at graphic arts and/or web design, understand composition, collaborative, take direction well, and have good physical endurance.  You should also be familiar with all operations of the camera.  To apply for this position, go here.

GAFFER:  The gaffer is in charge of all the electrical things, such as light.  You should work well with the camera operator and director.  To apply for that job, go here.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT:  This job is the second of two jobs where someone 18 years and up would be preferable.  The PA is in charge of getting, fixing, and helping in whatever way needed.  Very important.  Go here for more info. 


FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR:  We don't just get up one morning and shoot.  We have to raise some money first, and the fundraising director is in charge of all the fundraisers.  To do this job well, you should be a good leader and know a thing or two about raising money. ADVERTISING CONSULTANT:  There has to be some way of getting the word out, right?  The advertising consultant figures out how people can hear about Adventure City.  If you're strong-minded, determined, and someone who perseveres, apply for this job!  Advertising experience is bonus points.  Apply by going here.
